Description: Pilatus is hiring an Aircraft Interior Technician Apprentice to join our program in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will split time between the Fabrication and Seating departments. You will be working with top-of-the-line materials and soft goods to construct the customized interior furnishings that go into our market-leading business aircraft, the PC-12 single-engine turboprop and the PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. In this program, you are paid to learn valuable trade skills while attending related courses at Front Range Community College. If you have a keen attention to detail, you will be right at home with a team of people who help bring our customers’ dreams to life. An apprenticeship at Pilatus will open the door to a wide choice of career opportunities. This dual-track model allows for both work-based and classroom-based instruction. Identifies and treats corrosion on aircraft and Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) to meet structural integrity requirements. Required to perform assigned tasks within your work center that directly supports necessary functions of this job classification. Specialty Qualifications a. Knowledge. Knowledge of composition characteristics and identification of aircraft metals, tubing, cables, plastics, fiberglass, composites, bonded structures, and honeycombs is mandatory. Knowledge of the principles and general details of aircraft structural construction and repair; sheet metal layout; shop drawing techniques; shop mathematics; principles of cold-forming aluminum alloys and heat-forming plastic; corrosion identification and removal; cleaning metals; applying protective coatings; and mixing, storage, and use of materials is mandatory. Knowledge of technical orders and regulations and safety codes and practices is mandatory. Knowledge of the concepts of major command maintenance directives and the use and operator maintenance of aircraft structural maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery is mandatory. Knowledge of maintenance management; concepts and application of applicable maintenance directives; and the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous wastes and materials is mandatory. Knowledge of MIS (CAMS/IMDS) and desktop computer operations and use is mandatory. Must have working knowledge of Air Force supply procedures to look up, place orders, receive and maintain parts and materials to complete assigned work. b. Education. Completion of high school with courses in mathematics, algebra, metalworking, mechanical drawing, chemistry, and physics is desirable. c. Experience. Qualification as Sheetmetal Worker is mandatory. A minimum of five years of experience performing functions, such as fabricating, repairing, assembling, or installing aircraft metals, plastics, fiberglass, composites, or honeycomb parts; corrosion identification and removal; preparing and cleaning metals; or applying coatings and markings, is mandatory. Completion of an advanced structural maintenance course is mandatory. Special Certifications and Qualifications required for position A have a minimum of four (4) years documented on-aircraft maintenance experience on the F-15 and/or F-16 aircraft. This on-aircraft experience must have been within the past 10 years; if the on-aircraft experience is beyond 10 years, there must be similar AF fighter aircraft experience within 10 years. The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft. A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required. Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900 hands-on A&P mechanic experience is required. Three Pay Levels - (AM-1, AM-2, AM-3) specific level for hire is determined by the years of hands-on experience on the assigned aircraft C-12 / King Air. US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Gov Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access. Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High School degree or equivalent is required. A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required; the (A&P) license must show compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements. Physical and Additional Qualifications: Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit. JOB DESCRIPTION: MECHANIC FLSA STAUS: NON-EXEMPT REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE Surf Air Mobility is seeking skilled, certified aircraft mechanics to assist us in maintaining our fleet of aircraft. The ideal candidate: • has experience working on PT6A, PC-12, and/or CE-208 • has excellent written and verbal communication skills • has the ability to read, write and speak English effectively • is professional in appearance and manner • is courteous in all interactions • is a team player • is detail-oriented General Duties include: • performing maintenance and inspections in accordance with the applicable FARs, manufacturer's recommendations, TCDS, ICAs and company policies • troubleshooting systems and components, airframe and power plant • properly completing log entries for work accomplished • maintaining the work area in a clean and professional manner • performing aircraft run and taxi as required for system test and performance • exhibiting knowledge of and working in accordance with the GOM, GMM and AAIP Requirements for the position: • Current A&P certificate, IA is a plus • A minimum of 3 years of experience • Ownership/possession of basic tools to complete the job tasks • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Basic computer skills • Ability to read, understand and follow maintenance manuals, drawings and wiring prints • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen • At least 21 years of age • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986 • Ability to maintain SIDA access • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays • Able to document on-the-job training and successfully complete training as required by company Physical Requirements: • Able to bend, squat, kneel and stand for extended periods of time • Able to lift 40 pounds. •Able to work in adverse weather conditions •Must be able to meet all physical requirements related to aircraft weight limitations before and during employment Benefits: Competitive Salary: Attractive compensation package based on experience.
