Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Central Wisconsin Airport, Mosinee, WI
• Schedule: 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. Peak times between 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Work Environment: Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Due to the nature of the job, there is virtually no flexibility to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.
• Specific shifts are assigned after new hires successfully complete their training.

Part-Time Positions

CWA is currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:

• Tour of duty: 20 hours per week.
• 4-5 workdays with 4-5 hours per day depending on operational needs.
• Tours could include a split shift.

Sign-On Bonus

The TSA is currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 for this duty location, paid out in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

Note: Recruitment Incentive amount is subject to change and will be determined at the time of the final job offer.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.
• Transportation subsidies are not offered at CWA.

Promotional Potential

Under the career ladder system for TSOs, new officers can reach up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years, in addition to any federal-wide pay increases.

Dress Code

TSO uniforms are provided, and there are restrictions on accessories, grooming, and other personal items while in uniform.
