Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, Clearwater, FL
- Flight Schedule: 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Peak Times: Monday through Sunday, 5 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Screening operations for passengers and baggage are located inside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments. Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to adjustments.
Positions Available
- Full-Time (FT): 40 hours per week
- Part-Time (PT): 20 hours per week, four days of five hours per day
- Morning and afternoon shifts available
Sign-On Bonus
Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus. Recruitment incentive amounts are subject to change.
