Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If selected for a position as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Often called Prudhoe Bay Airport.
• Maintains a 24/7 flight schedule.
• Peak times: Monday-Sunday:
  • 5 a.m. – 9 a.m.
  • 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • 9:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
• Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on airport operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, little flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments.

Shift Availability

• Full-time: 40 hrs/week (4-5 workdays with shifts of 8-10 hours/day)
• Part-time: 25 hrs/week (4-5 workdays with 5 hour shifts/day)

Sign-On Bonus

Currently, no sign-on bonus is being offered.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking available at no charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.
