Assists Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts. * Demonstrates proficiency of work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements. Assists Junior Avionics Wiring Technicians in these efforts. * Willingly and effectively shares knowledge and capabilities with less experienced technicians through OJT to foster their development, ensure accurate work, and support of the team’s goals. As a Line Service Technician , you are technically competent in all assigned Line Service duties and is expected to be able to accomplish the vast majority of those duties with minimal supervision. What you'll do: Fuel aircraft Tow and marshal aircraft Ensure aircraft are locked and secure Aircraft lavatory and potable water service Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services Top off fuel trucks and fill out proper fuel farm paperwork Operate ground support equipment Assist other departments as required including facility cleaning and other tasks as assigned Provide basic security to people and property Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area Meets customer aircraft, marshalls aircraft to park and directs pilots to unloading area, or to rental car. Assists crews and passengers with luggage transport and special requests. May be required to perform limited chauffeur assignments. Performs such flight line services as connecting ground support equipment for air conditioning, heating, and power; supplying, cleaning, and servicing galleys, cleaning and maintaining lavatories; standing fire watch when starting engines; etc. Provides shuttle service to airport, hotels, restaurants, etc. if required. Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting, and continuously improving company policies and procedures. Answer phones at switchboard as required. Works fair share of overtime. Observes all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies. May perform other duties as required by the department. Position Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. At least 3 years experience in Line Service in corporate aviation. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to load and unload storage, lavatories, and special equipment. Must be able to stretch, bend, walk, and climb to clean aircraft. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather conditions. Must have excellent vision and coordination to move or direct aircraft within the hangars. Preferred Characteristics: Must be courteous, tactful, and friendly as there is considerable contact with customers, employees, and company visitors. Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal and verbal skills in order to interface with customers and employees. Must have knowledge of safety practices in handling highly combustible and explosive fuels.
