This technician will be qualified to support our airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards. This position reports directly to the Regional GSE Manager and is responsible for assisting the GSE operation and Facilities in MIA. Job Duties: · Coordination of activities within the GSE department based on GSE Manager direction. · Maintains tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items in safe operating conditions. · Ensure the GSE shop is maintained in a neat and organized manner. · Assist with other duties as assigned by GSE Manager and other departments as needed. · GSE refueling – 3 times a Week. · Perform Weekly fluids checks on motorized equipment. · As needed delivery of units to the dealer for warranty & Service bulletin repairs. · Pickup and drop off units to corresponding ramp areas for PMI’s. · Parts running for emergency incidents, dropping off items to vendors. · AOA Escorting when needed for outside tire repairs, fuel deliveries, rental equipment pickup / drop off. · Perform PMIs on non-motorized equipment and assist in shop as needed on repairs / PMIs. · Assist with facility items and repairs that may arise. · Perform Weekly & Monthly checks on facility equipment and surrounding areas of the facility. · Escort vendors as needed in and around the facility including the designated AOA areas. (snowplow, mowing, deliveries, etc.) · Stock facility supplies and items and assist in inventory of such. · Running Parts and supplies for the facility. · Aid in inspections of outside structures and utility services. · Assist with use of contractors and vendors for facility repairs as required. Requirements Basic Qualifications: · Must pass airport security background checks, have a flexible schedule, and travel for work as required. · Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. · Must have a Current Valid Driver’s License · Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, and noise. · Must be able to read and write English. · Ability to work on back and under or overhead vehicles and equipment for extended periods. · Ability to frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places. · Be able to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds. · Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises. · Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information. · Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
