Job Overview
As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), if selected, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The following outlines the operational requirements and compensation plan.
Local Airport Details
- Maintains a varying work schedule with flights several days a week.
- Peak operating times are varied.
- Screening operations occur inside the terminal, which may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- TSO schedules are based on airport operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Due to job nature, flexibility for personal commitments is limited. Specific shifts are assigned post-training, subject to change.
Current Availability
Part-time positions available with:
- 20 hours per week
- Approximately 4 hours per day
- Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts
Location: Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, Vienna, OH
Sign-On Bonus
Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus; the recruitment incentive amount may change and will be determined at the time of job offer.

Dual Federal Employment
TSA policy limits employees' ability to work for multiple federal agencies concurrently. Consult with airport HR staff if you work for or are retired from another federal agency.

Travel and Training Requirements
Employment is contingent on successfully completing required training. This may include a minimum of three (3) weeks of travel in a full-time status for New Hire training, with reimbursement for authorized travel expenses.
