SUMMARY: The Accessories Mechanic is responsible for service, repair and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. Works under minimal supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General • Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft. • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational tests. • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. • Complete job assignments in a timely manner. • Read and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification. • Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs. • Perform other duties as assigned. The following duties will apply based on the area to which the employee is assigned: Accessories (electrical/fluidpower/interiors/mechanical) • Disassemble, inspect and reassemble hydraulic, mechanical or electrical aircraft components • Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify components • Test aircraft hydraulic, mechanical or electrical components • Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical or electrical aircraft components EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Airframe and/or Power plant License and level of skill customarily acquired after one year as a General Mechanic, or three years of related commercial / military aircraft experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs. Compensation The base pay range for this position is $20.25 – $35.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
