Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in employment with the TSA. If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Maintains a 24/7 flight schedule.
• Peak times: Monday through Sunday with various peak times throughout the day.
• Screening operations are located both inside and outside the terminal.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments.
• TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather.

Current Opportunity

• Location: Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, Honolulu, HI (HNL)
• Position Type: Part-time
• Hours: 20 hours per week, five days of four hours per day during morning/afternoon shifts.

Compensation

Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus. Recruitment Incentive amounts are subject to change and will be determined at the time of the final job offer.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking available for $35.00 per month.
• Public transportation options available.
• Transportation subsidies offered after two months of employment.
