Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Below are the job details and requirements.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, Greer, SC
- Flight Schedule: Seven days a week with regular operating hours from 2 hours prior to the first flight until the last departure of the day.
- Peak Times:
- 5 a.m. – 8 a.m.
- 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal, which may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
Schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts will be assigned after successful training and may change to meet operational needs. TSA employees are classified as emergency personnel and must report during inclement weather.
Positions Available
Both part-time and full-time positions available as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Sign-On Bonus: Not currently available, but subject to change at the time of final job offer.
- Parking: Onsite parking available for $20.00 per month.
- Transportation: Public transport is not available; subsidies not offered at GSP.
