Job Description

Responsible for maintaining inventory in the supply room and performing maintenance on airport vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain supply inventory levels as prescribed in the EAM Hexagon System
  • Maintain the airport supply room in a clean and orderly manner
  • Monitor materials inventory in mechanic's work area and report low inventories
  • Receive goods, verify quantities, unpack, and ensure proper storage
  • Perform maintenance on airport vehicles and equipment including inspections, PM and repairs
  • Perform maintenance on 2 and 4 cycle engines including small motorized tools
  • Complete inspections thoroughly and accurately
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on all emergency generators
  • Assist with fuel deliveries and transfers
  • Assist with snow and ice removal activities
  • Work without direct supervision in an effective and safe manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years' experience in automotive and equipment repair and maintenance, or in ordering & maintaining a supply inventory

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Intermediate computer skills including desktop computer or iPad and supply room administration via Enterprise Asset Management System (Hexagon)
  • Knowledge in operation and maintenance of diesel and gasoline engines, automotive electrical systems, hydraulic and transfer fundamentals
  • Good knowledge of 2 and 4 cycle engine repair including small motorized tools
  • Knowledge of equipment, tools, materials, and practices for automotive and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to understand and communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
  • Skills in prioritization, organization, verbal communications and interpersonal relations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • May require annual medical physical

Working Conditions: Exposed to heat, cold, rain, snow, icy conditions, noise levels exceeding 55 db, moving vehicles and equipment, flammable/toxic/caustic chemicals, heights requiring ladders and lifts. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds. Position requires uncommon tours of duty including weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime.
