Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

We are currently seeking candidates for part-time Transportation Security Officer positions at Humboldt County Airport (ACV), McKinleyville, CA. If selected, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned after successful completion of training and may be adjusted to meet operational needs. TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and are expected to report for duty during inclement weather.

Part-Time Shifts:

• 20 hours per week
• Five (5) days of four (4) hours each day

Compensation

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $2,000 for this duty location, paid out in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

Promotional Potential

New officers can achieve up to a 67% increase in base salary over five years, in addition to federal-wide pay increases or changes to locality pay.

• Onsite Parking: Free for TSA employees.
• Public Transportation: Not available. Transportation subsidies are not offered at ACV.
