Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Redmond Municipal Airport, Redmond, OR
- Flight Schedule: 7 days per week
- Peak Times: Monday through Sunday, 4 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
- Screening operations located: inside the terminal
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific shifts are assigned after successful completion of training.
- TSA employees are considered emergency personnel.
Shifts Available
- Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:
- 20 hours per week determined by operational needs.
- Weekend and holiday work required.
Compensation
Note: No sign-on bonus currently available.
Commuter Details
Employee parking lot available at RDM for a one-time charge of $10.00.

Travel and Training Requirements
