Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Fort Smith Regional Airport, Ft. Smith, AR
• Schedule: 7 days a week
• Peak Screening Times:
• Monday to Sunday:
• 4:45 a.m. – 6 a.m.
• 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Screening operations are inside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO schedules are based on airport operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. No flexibility is offered to accommodate personal schedules.

Available Positions

• Full-Time: 40 hours/week, five (5) days with eight (8) hours during morning and afternoon shifts.
• Part-Time: 25 hours/week, five (5) days with five (5) hours during morning and afternoon shifts.

• Promotional Potential: Up to a 67% base salary increase over 5 years.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at no charge.
• Public transportation is not available; transport subsidies are not offered.
