Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Muskegon County Airport, Muskegon, MI
• Schedule: 7 days a week with peak times:
  • Monday through Sunday: 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
• The screening operations may not always be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. There is minimal flexibility offered for personal commitments. Specific shifts are assigned post-training and may change as operational needs evolve.

Current Openings:

• Position: Part-time
• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Schedule: Four (4) days with five (5) hours per day shifts.

• Onsite parking is available at no charge (a $1.00 sticker fee applies).
• Public transportation is available; subsidies are not offered.

Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing the required training, which may include up to 6 weeks of full-time duty status travel.

Dress Code: TSO uniforms are provided with specific restrictions on accessories and grooming while in uniform.
