Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in joining TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Central Illinois Regional Airport, Bloomington, IL
• Operational Hours:
  • Monday through Sunday: 4 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • 17 hours of operation daily
• Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
• Screening operations conducted inside the terminal, potentially in non-temperature controlled environments.

Work Schedules

• TSO schedules are based on airport operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Limited flexibility for personal commitments, with specific shifts assigned post-training and subject to change due to operational needs.
• TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather.

Current Opportunities

• Part-time positions available: 20 hours per week (5 days, 4 hours each).
• Shifts: Morning, afternoon, evening, or split shifts.

Employment Conditions

• Must successfully complete required training.
• A minimum of 3 weeks of travel in full-time duty status may be required.
