Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

We appreciate your interest in TSA employment. If selected for the TSO position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Below are key details about the role and requirements.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Abilene Regional Airport, Abilene, TX
• Flight Schedule: Maintained seven days a week
• Peak Hours: Monday to Sunday, 5 a.m. – 11 p.m.
• Work Environment: Screening operations inside the terminal, which may not be temperature-controlled.

Work Schedules

• Schedules are based on the airport's operational needs.
• Expect non-traditional shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Specific shifts assigned after training completion may be subject to changes due to operational needs.

Current Openings

• Part-Time Positions: 25-30 hours per week over five days, with shifts of five to six hours.
