Job Overview

As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Airport: Alamosa-San Luis Valley/Bergman Field, Alamosa, CO
• Schedule:
  • Starts at 5 a.m.
  • Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available
  • Flights start at 9:15 a.m. and the last flight is at 8:40 p.m.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of this job, there is minimal flexibility in accommodating personal commitments.

• Current Openings: Part-time positions available
• Hours: 30 hours per week, five (5) days at six (6) hours per day

Compensation and Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time
• Compensation Plan: Promotional potential with up to a 67% salary increase over five years

Dress Code and Conduct

TSA uniforms are provided. There are specific grooming and accessory restrictions while in uniform.

Travel and Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required training, which may involve up to six weeks of travel.
