Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. If selected as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Evansville Regional Airport, Evansville, IN
- Schedule: 16 hours per day, 7 days a week (peak times vary)
- Environment: Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific shifts are assigned after successful training and are subject to periodic adjustments based on operational needs.
- TSA employees are emergency personnel and must report during inclement weather.
Part-Time Positions
- Schedule: 20 hours per week, 4 days of 5 hours per day.
Sign-On Bonus
This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time. (Recruitment incentive amount subject to change at the time of the final job offer.)
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking available for TSA employees at $5.00 per month.
- No public transportation available, and transportation subsidies are not offered at EVV.

Travel and Training Requirements
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required training.
- Minimum of three weeks of travel in a full-time duty status may be required.
