Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Yellowstone Regional Airport, Cody, WY
- Operations: Yearly operations, 7 days per week, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Peak Times: Monday through Sunday, 5:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Virtually no flexibility for personal commitments or schedules.
- Candidates are currently being assessed for part-time positions (16-32 hours/week).
Sign-On Bonus
- Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus for this duty location, paid in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

Promotional Potential
New officers have a path to reach up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years, plus any federal-wide pay increases or changes to locality pay.
Travel and Training Requirements
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training, which may require travel.
Dress Code
TSO uniforms are provided, with restrictions on certain accessories and grooming while in uniform.
