Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Airport: Decatur Airport (DEC), Decatur, IL
• Maintains a seven days per week flight schedule
• Operational times: Monday through Sunday, 4 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Screening operations may be inside terminal and not temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on airport operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Shifts: Assigned post-training, subject to adjustments.
• Part-time positions: 20 hours per week tour (Example: Five days of four hours per day).

Sign-On Bonus

No sign-on bonus is offered at this location at this time.
