Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Williston Basin International Airport, Williston, ND
• Flight Schedule: Seven (7) days per week, with peak times Monday through Sunday:
  • 4 a.m. - 8 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.
• Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal and are temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.

Part-Time Positions

Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:

• Tour of Duty: 20 hours per week
• Days: Five (5) days of four (4) hours per day
• Split Shifts: 2 hours with a 2-hour split between shifts

Sign-On Bonus

The TSA is currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for this duty location; paid out in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

Commuter Details

• Parking: Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
• Public Transportation: Available; subsidies for transportation are not offered at XWA.

Dress Code
