Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

If selected as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details:

• Location: Lea County Regional Airport, Hobbs, NM
• Flight Schedule: Seven days a week
• Flight times: Monday to Sunday 6:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
• Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts will be assigned after training and may change based on operational needs.
• TSA personnel are required to report for duty during inclement weather.

Available Positions

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Tours of duty: 25-40 hours per week.
• Shift patterns include five days at five hours or five days at eight hours per day.

Sign-On Bonus

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for this position, paid out in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

Recruitment incentive amounts are subject to change and will be determined at the time of the final job offer.

Commuter Details

• Onsite Parking: Available for TSA employees free of charge.
• Public Transportation: Not available; transportation subsidies are not offered.
