Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Logan International Airport, Boston, MA
• Flight Schedule: 24/7 operational service with peak times
  • Monday to Sunday: 4 a.m. – 9 a.m. & 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Work Environment: Screening operations inside the terminal; temperature may vary.

Work Schedules

TSO shifts are determined based on airport operational needs, which may include:

• Full-time: 40 hours/week
• Part-time: 30 hours/week, typically five (5) workdays with six (6) hour shifts.

Note: Flexibility is limited due to the nature of the job.

Sign-On Bonus

A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is currently being offered for this duty location, paid in two installments within the first year of service.

Commuter Details

• Offsite parking is available for TSA employees (paid by TSA).
• Limited public transportation is available; refer to MBTA for schedules.
• Transportation subsidies are offered at this location.
