Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in a position with the TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's mission. Below are the operational requirements and compensation details for this role.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Bismarck Municipal Airport, Bismarck, ND
- Flight Schedule: Maintains a seven days per week operation.
- Daily Operation: 3:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Monday through Sunday including holidays and weekends)
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules vary based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is limited due to the nature of the job. Specific shifts are assigned after successful training completion and may be adjusted periodically.
Part-Time Positions
- A minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Example Tour: Four (4) to Five (5) days, four (4) to five (5) hours per day. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
