Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. By successfully completing the TSO candidate evaluation process and being selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Norfolk International Airport, Norfolk, VA
• Flight Schedule: Seven days per week
• Peak Times:
• 4 a.m. – 8 a.m.
• 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal in a temperature-controlled environment.

Work Schedules

• Full-time: 40 hours per week, five days of eight hours per day
• Part-time: 20 hours per week, five days of four hours per day
• Shifts: Non-traditional shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Current Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time.
• Parking: Offsite parking for $20.00 per month.
• Transportation Subsidies: Offered at this location.
• Promotional Potential: New officers can reach a 67% increase from the starting base salary over 5 years.

Additional Information
