Job Overview

As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. If shortlisted, you will need to successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process.

Local Airport Details

• Flight Schedule: Operating 7 days a week, hours based on airline flight timings.
• TSA Hours: One hour before and one hour after all flight departures.
• Work Environment: Screening operations are located inside the terminal, which may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSOs may work non-traditional shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility is limited due to operational requirements.
• Specific shifts are assigned post-training and are subject to adjustments.
• TSA employees are emergency personnel and must report during inclement weather.

We are currently assessing candidates for part-time positions. Shifts are dependent on operational needs and subject to change.

Sign-On Bonus

Commuter Details

• Free Onsite Parking: Available for TSA employees.
• Public Transport: Not available; transportation subsidies are not offered.

Promotional Potential

New officers have a pathway to a salary increase of up to 67% from the starting base salary within 5 years, in addition to federal-wide pay increases.

Travel and Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required training, which may involve up to six weeks of travel in a full-time capacity. Compensation for travel hours and expenses will align with TSA Travel Policy.

Dress Code

Uniforms are provided, and there are guidelines regarding accessories and grooming while in uniform.

Active Duty Military

Candidates must be discharged or on terminal leave to be eligible for employment with TSA.
