Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)

Thank you for your interest in joining the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If selected, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This fact sheet outlines the operational requirements and compensation plan for the TSO role.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Key West International Airport (EYW), Key West, FL
• Screening Hours: 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily
• Peak Times:
  • 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.
  • 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• Domestic flights only.

Work Schedules

• Shifts may include weekends and holidays.
• Limited flexibility for personal commitments.
• Specific shifts assigned post-training; subject to change based on operational needs.

Employment Opportunities

• We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions with a commitment of 20-40 hours per week.
• Full-time and part-time employees will work 5 days per week, 4-8 hours per day.

Sign-On Bonus

Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus available, paid in two installments during the first 12 months of service (amount subject to change).

• Free onsite parking for TSA employees; public transportation is not available at EYW.

Travel and Training Requirements

Successful candidates must complete required training, which may include three to six weeks of travel, with paid compensable hours and reimbursement for authorized travel expenses.
