Position: Transportation Security Officer

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Below are the operational requirements and compensation details.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Albuquerque International Sunport, Albuquerque, NM
• Operational Schedule: 20 hours a day, 7 days a week with peak times from 4:30 - 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.
• Screening Operations: Inside the terminal; temperature control may vary.

Work Schedules

• TSO schedules are based on operational needs, including non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned post-training and may change based on operational demands.
• Employees may be required to report during inclement weather.

Position Availability

• Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions: 27.5 hours/week (5 workdays, 5.5 hours/day).
• Shift hours are 4:30 - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 - 5:30 p.m.; shifts are subject to change.
