Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Florence Regional Airport, Florence, SC
- Maintain Schedule: Seven days per week
- Operating Hours: 2 hours prior to the first flight until the final departure of the day
- Peak Times:
- Monday to Friday: 5 a.m. – 7 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal, may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts are assigned post-training and are subject to changes.

- Onsite parking is available at no charge.
- Public transportation is not available.
- Transportation subsidies are not offered.
