Job Description
Lead API middleware development to integrate Navitaire Digital APIs with internal and external systems; enable scalable, secure, and high-performance integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain API middleware integrating Navitaire Digital APIs with Jazeera systems
- Build/manage scalable, secure API architectures; manage API lifecycle and versioning
- Integrate third-party collaborators (ancillary suppliers, payment gateways, loyalty platforms)
- Serve as in-house expert on Navitaire Digital APIs; collaborate with Navitaire on enhancements
- Partner cross-functionally to integrate commercial/operational systems and support new revenue streams
- Establish metrics for API performance, uptime, and transaction success; monitor and report to management
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT or related
- 5+ years in API middleware development/management in airline industry
- Mandatory prior experience with Navitaire Digital APIs (LCC environment)
- Expertise in API tools/frameworks and security (OAuth, encryption)
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, RESTful architectures
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
