Job Overview

As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This position requires a commitment to operational excellence and adaptability to changing needs.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Yampa Valley Regional Airport, Hayden, CO
• Flight Schedule: Operates seven days a week
• Peak Times: Monday - Sunday, 5 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal, may not be temperature controlled

Work Schedules

• Shifts may include non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays
• Specific shifts will be assigned after training based on operational needs
• TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather

Available Positions

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week
• Part-Time: 30 hours per week, with shifts ranging from 6 hours

Sign-On Bonus

TSA is currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for this position, paid in two installments within the first 12 months of service.

Promotional Potential

New officers can achieve up to a 67% increase in base salary over 5 years, in addition to any federal-wide pay increases.
