Job Overview
As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. The position involves unique operational requirements with a competitive compensation plan.
Local Airport Details
- Airport: Telluride Regional Airport
- Location: Telluride, CO
- Flight Schedule: Maintains a seven days per week flight schedule
- Peak Times: Monday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
- Work Environments: Screenings operations located inside the terminal, which may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Part-time: 30 hours per week, five (5) days of six (6) hours during various shifts
- Flexibility: Limited flexibility for personal commitments; specific shifts assigned post-training and are subject to periodic adjustments.
Note: TSA employees are considered emergency personnel and are expected to report for duty during inclement weather regardless of travel restrictions.
Sign-On Bonus
We are currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for this duty location, paid out in two installments during the first 12 months of service. (Incentive amount may change and will be determined at the time of the final job offer.)

Travel and Training Requirements
Employment is contingent upon completing required training, which includes:
- Classroom and on-the-job training
- Minimum of three (3) weeks of travel in a full-time duty status may be required
