Position: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the TSO candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Rhode Island T F Green State Airport, Warwick, RI
- Flight Schedule: 19 hours per day, 7 days per week
- Peak Times:
- Monday through Sunday: 5 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.
Shifts Available:
- Full-Time: 20-40 hours per week (4 to 5 days, 4 to 10 hours per day)
Sign-On Bonus
This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at $35 per month.
- Public transportation to the airport is not available.

Training and Travel Requirements
If hired by TSA, your employment would be contingent upon successfully completing required training. A minimum of three (3) weeks of travel in full-time duty status may be required for training.
Dress Code
TSO uniforms are provided to employees, with specific restrictions on accessories and grooming while in uniform.
Note: Active duty military members must be discharged or on terminal leave prior to beginning employment with TSA.
