Airline Ramp Agent

As a Ramp Agent, you will be responsible for essential ramp service tasks, including loading and unloading baggage and cargo, marshalling aircraft, and performing water servicing. A focus on safety and attention to detail is crucial.

Responsibilities:

• Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
• Load and unload cargo/baggage on and off aircraft
• Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
• Sort and load baggage
• Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service
• Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions
• Maintain a secure work environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• This job is covered by Transport Workers Union (TWU) collective bargaining agreement
