Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. If you are selected for a position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Below are key details about the position:
Local Airport Details
- Location: Victoria Regional Airport, Victoria, TX
- Flight Schedule: Maintains a 14-hour, seven days per week flight schedule
- Peak Times:
- Monday to Sunday:
- 5 a.m. – 10 a.m.
- 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Monday to Sunday:
- Screening operations are located inside the terminal and may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
- TSO work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments.
- TSA employees are emergency personnel and must report for duty during inclement weather.
Part-Time Shifts
VCT is currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:
- 20 hours per week
- Four (4) days of five (5) hours per day.
- Current part-time shifts: morning, afternoon, and evening.
Sign-On Bonus
Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus.
