Job Overview
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Raleigh, NC
- Flight Schedule: Maintains a seven days per week flight schedule.
- Peak Times:
- 5 a.m. – 10 a.m. Monday - Saturday
- 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday - Friday
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Due to the nature of the job, virtually no flexibility is offered to accommodate personal commitments or schedules.
- Full Time: 40 hours per week
- Part Time: 16-25 hours per week (four to five days of four to five hours per day during morning and evening shifts)
Sign-On Bonus
Currently, this location is not offering a sign-on bonus.
Commuter Details
- Parking: Available onsite for training at the airport. After training, it is $11.00 per month for TSA employees.
- Public Transportation: Available with subsidies depending on the situation.
