Job Overview: Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Here are some details about the role and requirements:
Local Airport Details
- Location: Phoenix-Mesa Gateway, Mesa, AZ
- Flight Schedule: Seven days a week
- Hours of Operation: 5 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Screening Operations: Located inside the terminal, may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts are assigned after training and may be subject to adjustment.
- Part-Time Positions Available:
- Hours: 20 hours per week
- Shifts: Five days of four hours or four days of five hours
- Current Shift Availability: Morning or afternoon shifts.
Sign-On Bonus
This location is not offering a sign-on bonus at this time. Recruitment incentive amounts are subject to change and will be determined at the time of the final job offer.
Commuter Details
- Onsite parking is available for TSA employees free of charge.
- Public transportation to the airport is available (no subsidies offered).
