Job Overview
Thank you for considering a position with TSA as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO). As a TSO, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Cape Cod Gateway Airport, Hyannis, MA
- Schedule: 7 days a week
- Peak Times: Varies Monday through Sunday
- Work Environment: Screening operations are located inside the terminal, which may be temperature-controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules are based on the airport's operational needs. This includes non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays, with virtually no flexibility for personal commitments. Specific shifts are assigned after training.
Current Shift Options:
- 40 hours per week
- Four (4) days of ten (10) hours each
- Five (5) days of eight (8) hours each

Commuter Details
- Onsite parking is available at no charge.
- Public transportation is not available, and no transportation subsidies are offered.

Currently, no sign-on bonus is being offered. Recruitment incentives are subject to change.
Travel and Training Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required training, which may involve travel. Training duration varies and could require up to six weeks of full-time duty travel.
Dress Code
Uniforms are provided, but there are restrictions on certain accessories and grooming while in uniform.
