Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Local Airport Details

• Airport: Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, New Bern, NC
• Flight Schedule: 20 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Peak Times: Varies Monday through Sunday.
• Screening Operations: Located inside and outside the terminal, may be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• Hours: 25-32 hours per week; 4-5 days with shifts of 6 hours daily in morning, afternoon, and evening.
• Flexibility: Limited flexibility; specific shifts assigned after training completion and may change based on operational needs.
• Emergency Personnel: Must report for duty during inclement weather.

Your employment with TSA is contingent on successfully completing required training, which may involve travel. Training duration can vary and could require up to six weeks in full-time duty status.
