Job Overview
We thank you for considering employment with TSA as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO). If selected, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Montrose Regional Airport, Montrose, CO
- Schedule: Seven days per week
- Peak Times:
- 6 a.m. – 8 a.m.
- 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- Screening Locations: Inside the terminal, may not be temperature-controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO shifts are based on airport operational needs and may include:
- Non-traditional shifts
- Weekends and holidays
- Specific shifts assigned after successful completion of training with periodic adjustments to meet operational requirements.
Available Positions
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Part-time: 30 hours per week (five days of six hours during morning, afternoon, and evening shifts)
Compensation and Benefits
- Sign-On Bonus: Currently, no sign-on bonus is being offered.
- Promotional Potential: Officers can increase their base salary by up to 67% over 5 years, in addition to federal pay increases.

Commuter Details

Dress Code

Travel and Training Requirements
Hired individuals must complete required classroom and on-the-job training, which may involve travel away from the employee's airport of record, possibly requiring full-time duty for several weeks.
