Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) position. As a TSO, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Maintains a 12-hour operational schedule (5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
• Peak times:
  • 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
• Screening operations may be in temperature-controlled areas.

Work Schedules

• Shifts are based on airport operational needs and may include non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Very limited flexibility for personal commitments.
• TSA employees are expected to report for duty during inclement weather.

Part-Time Positions Available

• 20 hours per week
• Five (5) days of four (4) hours per day
• Morning and afternoon shifts, including split shifts are available.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking for TSA employees is free of charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.

Training Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required classroom and on-the-job training. A minimum of three (3) weeks of travel in full-time duty may be required.

Dress Code

TSO uniforms are provided with specific restrictions on accessories and grooming while in uniform.
