Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the TSA. As a TSO, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Hancock County Bar Harbor Airport, Bar Harbor, ME
• Work Schedule: 10 hours per day, 7 days a week (Monday through Sunday)
• Peak times for screening operations:
  • 5:30 a.m.
  • 12 p.m.
  • 3 p.m.
• Conditions: Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport. They may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Full and Part-Time Positions Available
• Typically 20 hours per week
• Shift combinations may include two (2) days of ten (10) hours or a mix of ten (10) hour and five (5) hour shifts per week.
