Job Overview

If selected as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. This position involves unique operational requirements and offers a comprehensive compensation plan.

Local Airport Details

• Location: McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, NV
• Operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• Peak Screening Times:
  • 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.
  • 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
• Screening operations may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• Schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Flexibility is limited due to the nature of the job.
• Specific shifts assigned after successful completion of training.

Part-Time Positions

• 16-32 hours per week.
• Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
• Consecutive Regular Days Off (RDOs).

Compensation and Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: Not available at this time.
• Promotional Potential: Opportunity for up to a 67% increase from the starting base salary over five years.

• Free onsite parking for TSA employees.

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully complete required training, which may involve travel.
• Uniforms provided; adhere to TSA dress code.

Dual Federal Employment
