Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) position. By joining TSA, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission. Below are some important details regarding the position:

Local Airport Details

• Location: Palm Beach International Airport, West Palm Beach, FL
• Flight Schedule: 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• Peak Times:
  • Monday through Sunday:
    • 5 a.m. – 7 a.m.
    • 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Work Schedules

• Work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Specific shifts are assigned post-training and may change based on operational demands.
• Employees are considered emergency personnel and must report during inclement weather.

Part-Time Positions

Currently assessing candidates for part-time positions:

• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Shifts: Four (4) days of five (5) hours per day across morning, afternoon, and evening hours.

Sign-On Bonus

Currently, there is no sign-on bonus offered at this location. Recruitment incentives are subject to change and determined at the time of the final job offer.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking is available for $25.00 per quarter or $100.00 per year.
• Public transportation to the airport is available, but no subsidies are offered for transportation.

Dress Code

TSA uniforms are provided, and employees must adhere to grooming and accessory restrictions while in uniform.
