Transportation Security Officer Job Overview
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport. If selected, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.
Local Airport Details
- Location: Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, Colorado Springs, CO
- Flight Schedule: Open seven days a week
- Peak Times:
- Mon - Fri: 4:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Sat/Sun: 4:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Work Environment: Screening operations may or may not be temperature controlled.
Work Schedules
TSO work schedules will be based on the airport's operational needs, which may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Part-time Positions:
- 20-32 hours per week
- Four (4) to five (5) days with shifts of four (4) to eight (8) hours per day
Please note that flexibility may be limited due to the nature of the job, and periodic adjustments to shifts may be required.
Commuter Details
- Parking: Onsite parking is available for TSA employees at no cost.
- Public Transportation: Not available. Transportation subsidies are not offered.

Travel and Training Requirements
If hired, employment is contingent upon successful completion of mandatory training, which may require travel for up to six (6) weeks.
