Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with TSA. If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Monterey Regional Airport, Monterey, CA
• Flight Schedule: 17 hours a day, seven days per week (Peak: Monday - Sunday: 4 a.m. - 9 p.m.)
• Screening Operations: Inside the terminal (temperature controlled conditions may vary)

Work Schedules

• TSO schedules based on airport operational needs
• May include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Limited flexibility for personal commitments

Current Openings:

• Part-time positions available
• Tour of duty: 20 hours per week (four days, five hours each day)
• Shift timings: Morning and afternoon
