Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: OMA, Eppley Airfield, Omaha, NE
• Flight Schedule: Maintains a 16 hours per day, seven days per week flight schedule.
• Peak Times:
  • Monday through Sunday: 5 a.m. – 7 a.m. & 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on operational needs and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts are assigned post-training and can change based on operational needs.

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Part-time: Five (5) days with five (5) hours per day

Sign-On Bonus*

The TSA is currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for this duty location, paid in two installments during the first 12 months of service.

*Amount is subject to change and will be determined at the time of final job offer.

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking available for TSA employees at no charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.
