Position: Transportation Security Officer

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Location: Central Wyoming Regional Airport, Riverton, WY
• Operations: Year-round, seven days a week, 5:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
• Screening operations may be located both inside and outside the terminal and may or may not be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

• TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Virtually no flexibility is offered for personal commitments or schedules.
• Specific shifts are assigned after training and are subject to periodic adjustments.

Part-Time Positions

• 16-32 hours per week.
• Shifts: Four (4) or five (5) days, five (5) to six (6) hours per day.
• Morning and afternoon shifts available.

Sign-On Bonus*

TSA is offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for this duty location, paid in two installments during the first 12 months of service. (*Recruitment Incentive amount subject to change.)

Commuter Details

• Onsite parking available free of charge.
• Public transportation to the airport is not available.
• No transportation subsidies offered.

Promotional Potential

New TSO officers can reach up to a 67% increase from starting base salary over 5 years, plus any federal-wide pay increases.
