Transportation Security Officer Job Overview

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). If you successfully complete the Transportation Security Officer (TSO) candidate evaluation process and are selected for a position, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission.

Local Airport Details

• Airport: Venango Regional Airport
• Location: Franklin, PA
• Schedule: Twelve (12) hour, seven (7) days per week flight schedule.
• Peak Times: Monday through Friday: 5 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Shifts: Morning and afternoon shifts; screening operations may be temperature controlled.

Work Schedules

TSO work schedules are based on the operational needs of the airport and may include non-traditional shifts, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts are assigned post-training and are subject to adjustment. TSA employees are expected to report for duty during inclement weather.

Part-Time Positions Available

• Hours: 20 hours per week
• Shifts: Four (4) with five (5) hours per day; morning, afternoon, and evening hours may require split shifts.
